Dr. Emily Troutman received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2005, majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders as well as obtaining a minor in Deaf Studies/American Sign Language. Dr. Troutman enrolled in a vigorous 4 year graduate program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she obtained her doctorate in audiology in 2013. During her last year, an externship/residency program was completed at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA, where Dr. Troutman learned additional skills, including advanced diagnostic testing, digital hearing aid technology, and central auditory processing. While in graduate school, Dr. Troutman devoted additional research time developing a reliable hearing test for "hard to test" adult and pediatric patients that were previously unable to get accurate test results with today's traditional audiology test methods. Dr. Troutman is licensed to practice audiology in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
